megan's photo blog: road trip no. 1!

So, as we all know, summer is basically meant for road trips with your best friends.....so this past week me and two of my closest girlfriends took a little road trip up to the amazing city of Chicago! And might I suggest, if you live in the Indianapolis area...DRIVE to Chicago! Don't take a train! It takes forever!! I'd say we spent half of our time on trains getting around town! BUT anyways, once we FINALLY reached Chicago we met up with another friend and settled into our hotel...the amazing Wyndham, right on the Magnificent Mile! Now the real reason we made the trip north was to see a favorite band of ours...Hillsong United. This group is an absolutely amazing Christian worship group out of Sydney, Australia. Their music is powerful and moving...and we rocked out all night! They tour the entire world, and typically make it to just a couple cities in the United States...and when I saw they were making it to Chicago, there was no question...I was going to this concert :o) So anyways, I thought I'd add some of my favorite photos from the trip. We spent plenty of hours on trains...so I'm happy I had my camera with me to capture some great memories!! All in all, it was a stressful roadtrip..but I still love Chicago..But, I'm very happy to be back in my city, Indianapolis. :o)

so to preface these photos...our concert was located an hour out of downtown, so we took a train out and managed to miss our train back. so after a $100 cab ride we finally made it back around 2 am. These are a few photos from somewhere at O'Hare Airport...i think? haha we were all over the city that night!!
